who we are

did you know?

NH Law requires any person who suspects that a child under age 18 has been abused or neglected must report that suspicion immediately to the Division of Children Youth and Families or the police or both.

The Child Advocacy Center of Carroll County is an inspiring example of a successful public/private partnership. Founded in 2004, the Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit charity, which embraces a coordinated, comprehensive and systematic approach to deal with issues associated with child abuse.

The Center represents both a place and a process designed to provide child victims and their non-offending family members with resources and advocacy efforts.

The “place” is supported by local contributors and community members, the New Hampshire Office of the Attorney General, the County of Carroll and the NH Charitable Foundation.

The “process” utilizes a comprehensive multi-disciplinary team approach, known as the Carroll County Child Protection Team, to support the investigation and prosecution of crimes against Carroll County’s children.
